Sanlit (Brightner)

Sanlit: (Whiterust preventive) This is novel formulation, based on chromate to prevent “witerust” and to add brightness of the galvanized material. This can be used in quenching tank. 1. Physical Data: a) Colour and appearance : Yellowish in colour odour Solubility in water : 100% b) Fire & Explosion Hazard : Nil Flash point c) Reacitivity & Stability : Stable indefinitely, incompatible with strong alkalies d) Handling precautions : Treat as mild chemical e) Health/Hazard : Skin irritant if exposed for long time. f) Emergency & first aid procedure : Wash with capious amount of water. 2. Technical Data: a) Preparation of bath : Fill the tank with water, add Sanlit @ 0.025% to 0.05% and mix well. Apply either by spraying, brushing or dipping method. b) PH : Less than 2-4 c) Sp. Gravity : 1.05 to 1.1 d) Bath Temperature : Can be heated to 100’ or more 3. Procedure for pointage : Transfer 25 ml. of both solution and titrate against 0.1 N Sodium Hydrox frist using bromo cresol green end point to obtain free acidity and continue titration with phenol pithalein to violent point to obtain total acidity.
